O’Connor Volunteers Raise $5,000 for ICU Consultation Room Renovation
Volunteer Services at O’Connor has successfully raised $5,000 to renovate an ICU consultation room. The team organized several fundraisers, including scrubs, jewelry, and handbag sales, where a portion of the profits would go towards the renovation project. The renovation will include fresh paint, new furniture, and soothing artwork from The Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals in Florence, Italy. This will help create a more comforting, private space for physicians to speak with patients’ families.
The O’Connor Hospital Foundation has also generously offered to match their efforts and will be donating $5,000, making a total of $10,000 for the renovation. The new ICU consultation room should be completed in the upcoming months.
